The people listed below have graduated from our Yoga Teacher Training Program and are qualified to call themselves a "CYT" or Certified Yoga Teacher. They have received OVER 200 hours of specialized Yoga teacher training in our program, have done student teaching, have read many books on Yoga and related subjects, and have taken many classes and workshops on their own at our school and other Yoga schools. They have been trained by us to teach the classical eight‑limbed Astanga Yoga (a.k.a. Raja Yoga) as codified by Patañjali in the Yoga Sutras.

CERTIFIED vs REGISTERED? (CYT vs RYT)

Certification is done by Yoga schools such as ours, and most certified teachers use the designation "CYT" for "Certified Yoga Teacher". Being "registered" as an "RYT" means that they have graduated from a "registered" school" such as ours, AND have submitted their certification and other paperwork and dues to Yoga Alliance. The decision to become an RYT is up to the individual person, and Yoga Alliance will grant the designation to any graduate from an approved school. This can all be a bit confusing... If you wish to verify if a particular Yoga teacher is currently an "RYT", you can ask them to show you their credentials from Yoga Alliance, or you can verify their standing on the "Find a teacher link/search" on the Yoga Alliance website.
